May is considered Mental Health Awareness Month! In support of this month, this episode focuses on the mental health of our children throughout the U.S. and how their mental health may have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. For this episode, I interviewed Dr. Cotrane Penn, a psychologist and the Executive Director of Student Wellness & Academic Support for one of the largest school districts in the country along with Mrs. Amanda Jones, a middle school counselor, serving in the same school district as well. Both of these amazing professionals provide great insight on this subject and how possible resources and interventions may be helpful.
